Information You Submit
Search forms transmit the name, phone number, or address you enter to the outside provider that supplies results. Richmond People Search does not retain its own copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains only the details you choose to provide, and we use them to answer the inquiry.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs can record an IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. We review aggregate information to operate the service and understand which Richmond resources are useful. Cookies or comparable tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
Collected data supports site operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not create individual visitor profiles or sell a visitor list.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to Richmond and Contra Costa offices, California agencies, courts, libraries, archives, and outside search providers. Information entered on a linked service follows that service's privacy terms. The same rule applies to sponsored results, which an independent provider delivers.
Parties That Process Data
Hosting and support vendors may process logs for us. Analytics or advertising services can receive the automatic information described above. Data may also be disclosed when valid legal process requires it; we do not otherwise distribute visitor information.
Protecting Visitor Information
An encrypted connection serves the site, and logs are kept only as long as needed for the stated purposes. Richmond People Search has no user accounts, so it does not hold an account password or personal profile for you.
Visitors Under Age 18
The service is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Contact us if a minor appears to have sent such information so it can be removed.
California Privacy Rights
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, may give eligible California consumers rights to know, correct, delete, and opt out of certain sale or sharing of personal information held by covered businesses. Use the Contact page for a request concerning our mailbox or server logs. Government records held by Richmond, Contra Costa County, a court, or a California agency remain outside our control. Any correction, confidentiality, or removal request for an official record must go to its custodian.
Changes to This Policy
A revised policy will appear here when changes are made. Using Richmond People Search after a revision takes effect signifies acceptance of the updated terms.
